Les vins rosés sont généralement élaborés en écrasant des raisins noirs et en laissant le jus en contact avec les peaux des raisins pendant quelques heures. Cela permet d'extraire la saveur, les tanins et la couleur des peaux, de sorte que les vinificateurs peuvent ajuster la teinte et le goût désirés du vin en augmentant ou en diminuant le contact avec la peau. Une autre méthode moins courante consiste à prélever le premier jus extrait avant l'élaboration d'un vin rouge. Principales régions de vins rosés

La région de vins rosés la plus célèbre est sans doute la Provence, dans le sud de la France, qui produit d'élégants vins rose pâle avec beaucoup de fraîcheur et d'arômes. Whispering Angel est l'un des vins rosés les plus populaires en provenance de France. L'Espagne est le deuxième plus grand producteur de rosé, dont la plupart sont produits dans un style plus riche, vieillis en fût de chêne, dans les régions de Rioja et de Navarra. Parmi les autres régions importantes, on trouve la Californie qui est connue pour son Zinfandel blanc, et certaines parties de l'Italie, du Chili et de l'Australie.

Cépages du vin rosé

Les vins rosés sont normalement élaborés en pressant légèrement les raisins noirs et en extrayant le premier jus qui s'écoule. Les vignerons peuvent augmenter la profondeur de la couleur et l'intensité du vin en faisant macérer le jus sur les peaux pendant une période plus longue. Parmi les cépages importants utilisés pour l'élaboration des vins rosés, citons le Grenache, qui est utilisé pour la plupart des vins rosés de Provence, et le Tempranillo, qui est largement utilisé pour les rosés espagnols. Le cabernet sauvignon, le merlot et le pinot noir sont également couramment utilisés pour faire des vins rosés.
