    Etablie en 1988, Amisfield est basée à Central Otago, en Nouvelle-Zélande, où elle est spécialisée dans le Pinot Noir et les vins blancs aromatiques. Ces vins sont élaborés avec des raisins cultivés à l'ombre de la chaîne de montagnes Pisa dans le bassin de Cromwell. Ses 200 ha constituent l'un des plus grands domaines à vignoble unique de la région.

    Les vignerons d'Amisfield croient en l'intervention minimale de la vinification, ce qui leur donne au final des vins de la plus haute qualité avec la pureté variétale que cette méthode apporte. Couplé à une gestion très stricte des rendements, le fruit de qualité supérieure offre des saveurs concentrées qui se développent en vins complexes et très intéressants.

    Amisfield possède également une cave ultramoderne qui permet aux principes d'intervention minimale de s'appliquer à l'ensemble du processus de production. Les principaux raisins cultivés sont le Pinot Noir (représentant plus de 60 % des vignes), le Riesling, le Sauvignon Blanc et le Pinot Gris constituant le reste.

    Amisfield croit en des méthodes de production durables qui ont un effet minimal sur l'environnement. Ils ont construit une installation de production qui comprend des moyens très innovants de faire les choses de manière durable, comme leur système unique de purification de l'eau qui filtre les eaux usées de la cave qui sont ensuite utilisées pour irriguer les vignes. Voici quelques-uns des principaux domaines de pratiques durables innovantes :- L'introduction de plantes dans les vignobles qui attirent les bons types d'insectes qui se nourrissent des insectes nuisibles à la vigne - cela signifie que l'utilisation de pesticides n'est pas nécessaire.- Les pintades sont bien établies dans le vignoble - elles gardent les vers et l'herbe sous contrôle.- Les cours d'eau sont maintenus clairs grâce à l'introduction de truites et de saumons qui prospèrent.
