    Histoire

    Castellare di Castellina est né du regroupement de cinq fermes en 1968 et s'étend aujourd'hui sur un total de 80 hectares près du village de Castellina in Chianti, au cœur de la région du Chianti Classico. Paolo Panerai, le magnat italien de l'édition, est propriétaire du domaine viticole depuis les années 1970, et depuis lors, il produit et commercialise avec succès du vin auprès des consommateurs du monde entier. L'établissement vinicole est responsable de la production de plusieurs lignes de vin (toutes distribuées par Castellare Distribuzion), mais le Chianti est l'un des vins les plus connus qu'ils produisent et est sans doute le meilleur Chianti de la région. Les vignobles sont peut-être anciens, mais le domaine viticole lui-même bénéficie d'une pointe de modernité et est un endroit de choix pour les amateurs de vin et les touristes du monde entier.

    Les vignobles, eux-mêmes, varient entre 5 et 30 ans, car ils sont situés à une moyenne de 370 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer. 33 hectares du terrain sur lequel se trouve le domaine viticole sont consacrés aux vignobles, mais le terrain total est en grande partie boisé. Le domaine viticole possède également des cultures mixtes sur 15 hectares et des oliviers sur 12 autres hectares, offrant ainsi une écologie et un environnement bien équilibrés.
