Histoire
Château de la Dauphine est l'un des plus anciens domaines de la région de Fronsac, datant de la fin des années 1600 et doté d'un superbe château construit en 1750. L'histoire moderne du domaine a commencé en 1985 lorsque la propriété a été achetée par la famille Moueix qui possède également Petrus et Château Trotanoy. Elle a ensuite été achetée par la famille Halley qui a fondé la chaîne de supermarchés Carrefour et a investi quelque 10 millions d'euros dans la modernisation du domaine.

Faits intéressants
Le château est également l'un des domaines les plus élevés de Fronsac puisqu'il est situé au sommet du plateau avec 53 hectares de vignes plantées sur des sols argileux, calcaires et sableux. En 2012, le domaine s'est converti à l'agriculture biologique et ils expérimentent actuellement des pratiques biodynamiques également. Grâce à l'énorme investissement des Halley, c'est l'un des domaines viticoles les plus avancés de la Rive Droite avec des équipements de pointe.
