Histoire
La noble histoire du Château Purcari remonte à 1827, lorsque l'empereur de Russie Nicolas Ier a accordé un décret spécial reconnaissant la propriété comme le premier domaine viticole officiel de Bessarabie, qui est aujourd'hui connue sous le nom de Moldavie. Situé à seulement 30 km de la mer Noire, ce vignoble bénéficie de conditions idéales pour une vinification de qualité supérieure. Cela a été réalisé dès 1847 lorsque le vin Negru de Purcari du domaine a reçu une médaille d'or lors de l'exposition agricole de Bessarabie. Quelques décennies plus tard, ce vin a également reçu une médaille d'or à l'exposition universelle de Paris, se classant aux côtés des meilleurs vins de Bordeaux de France.

Purcari est la plus ancienne cave du pays grâce à un décret spécial reconnaissant son statut qui a été émis par le tsar Nicolas Ier en 1827.
Les conditions ici sont idéales pour la vinification premium grâce à un terroir similaire à celui que l'on trouve à Bordeaux. En fait, la célèbre région viticole française se trouve sur la même latitude et possède les mêmes sols riches en rubidium que ceux que l'on trouve dans ce coin sud-est de la Moldavie. À proximité se trouve la mer Noire qui a un effet rafraîchissant sur la région environnante, ce qui aide à préserver beaucoup d'acidité et de fraîcheur dans les vins locaux.
